Life in Yonder is a blog focused on the beauty of everyday life details. I believe that learning is a journey. That making things enriches life. That quiet moments are a gift and that a cup of hot newly brewed tea can fix just about anything.

On Life in Yonder you’ll find inspiration for crafts, recipes, places to see and relaxed everyday life moments.

Grab yourself a cup of tea, rest your feet up high and stay as long as you like.

What camera do you use?
I use a Canon D-80 which I bought on holiday while visiting the US back in 2008. There are far more fancy cameras out there now, but this works for me (until my next US trip). I have a AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm lens (1:3.5-4.5G) and a AF-s Micro Nikkor 60mm lens (1:2.8G). On occasion I use photos taken with my iphone. I have lots of other cameras (non-digital) that I love taking photos with but I rarely use those pictures in Life in Yonder.

What software do you use? I use Adobe Photoshop CS2 (which you now can get for free here) while saving up for CS6. On occasions I also use Picasa to edit photos and create collages.

What kind of sewing machine do you have?
I have a Janome Jubilee 85 sewing machine. It was a limited edition made in 2007 to celebrate Janomes 85 years in business. I also have a Janome overlock sewing machine that still needs to be taken out of its box. I am hoping to sew a dress for my daughter before we go on vacation this summer.

Do you sell what you make?
I don’t sell what I make. I usually make things to give away, sometimes to keep as my own.

Why do you write in English?
For some time I wrote my blog in Norwegian and English (and Spanish for a very short period). This was not in line with my aim to have a balanced stress free blog time. With English I can simply reach and connect with a bigger community.

What background do you have? I studied organizational psychology and development. That is also what I do (and enjoy) for a living from eight to four every week day. I have no professional background in arts or photography. It is all plain amateurism.
